I’m a winner!
Well, I can tell you my mind has been totally swimming after being here at Blissdom. SEO, Tweets & DM’s are just a few of the things throwing me for a loop, so luckily I got back into my comfort zone this morning: volunteering to go on stage!
The Blissdom organizers surprised us with a special guest before lunch: TV host, Hunts spokesman and chef, George Duran! After demonstrating his new recipe for Grilled Eggplant rolls over tortellini, he asked for an excited mom to volunteer…ah, yes, I managed to raise my hand and shout a little “woo hoo” (I know, that shocks you all to know end).
Before I knew it, I was being asked to recreate the recipe. For my efforts, I was graced with a personalized copy of his cookbook. We even got to eat the actual recipe for lunch afterwards!
It’s like they always say: you can’t win unless you play. Sometimes all it takes to win something great is to simply be willing. What have you won lately? Or better yet, what opportunities have you passed by that could have lead to winning? Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there in the name of fun
