Just as I was hoping to settle back into some sense of a routine at home today, my son threw me a curve ball.

After dropping my daughter off at school, he proceeded to cry for 3 hours straight, complaining of pain inside his right cheek. Not detecting anything myself (with my expert dental tools of a Gaither Homecoming flashlight and the back of a free toothbrush), I thought it best for both my son’s health and my own sanity that I take him to our dentist.

They did find 2 cavities, but couldn’t explain the severe pain, except to suggest a sinus infection can often cause pain in the mouth/teeth like that. So she prescribed amoxicilin and sent us on our way. Why do I bring all this up on this blog and not my family blog?

I thought it would be an opportune time to remind you about the Free Oral Antibiotics that you can get from Publix. If you read my previous post on the topic, you’ll find all the specifics about what is included.

Another great medical freebie: Walmart not only offers many of their prescriptions for $10 for a 90 day supply, but they also offer Free Home Delivery of certain prescriptions! Read my previous Walmart post to learn more and to see a complete list of prescriptions that are part of the program.

For those of you wondering how the story ends, Britton cried himself to sleep on the way home and then promptly crashed on the bathroom floor for 3 hours. He woke up thirsty, but in much less pain. Now if only I can find a free manual for 3 year olds…

Earlier in the week I mentioned some great laptop deals at Walmart, trying to match and share the deal that I got on my laptop last year. Well, I think this is really it.

Starting at 8am on Saturday, 11/7, Walmart will have a limited number of HP 250GB PC’s with 15.6″ diagonal display for only $298! If this interests you, I wouldn’t wait too long!

If you’ve been reading this site for awhile you should already know that you can get certain oral antibiotics FREE at Publix and that you can also get a 90-day supply of certain prescriptions at Walmart for only $10.
